Dr. Jessica Lang is an Assistant Professor within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
Her research interests include ovarian cancer, genomics, epigenetics, and translational research.
The Lang Lab is interested in how somatic mutations to epigenetic driver genes, such as SWI/SNF subunit mutation, leads to targetable alterations to the epigenetic landscape of ovarian cancers. SMARCA4 loss uniquely alters super-enhancers, which has important implications in tumorigenesis and therapeutic vulnerability of these cancers. We also apply functional epigenetic approaches to understand the contributions of specific altered super-enhancer sites.
