Trainee Travel Awards

No Fixed Application deadline

Purpose: The CHGPM Trainee Travel Award provides support for full-time trainees (graduate and medical students, clinical and research fellows) to travel to events that will enhance their research training in human genomics and/or precision medicine. Awards are for the trainee’s unreimbursed expenses for travel-related expenses for one of the following activities:

  • Presenting original research at a national or international conference/workshop
  • Attending a formal course/workshop for the purpose of learning new research skills
  • Traveling to another laboratory for the purpose of learning a new research skill

Eligible expenses are unreimbursed expenses incurred by the trainee within the 2020 fiscal year for conference registration fees, course tuition, travel expenses (i.e. air, train, taxi, etc.), and accommodation costs associated with travel.

Funding:  Trainees can request up to $1,000. Applicants can submit travel expenses from one event only and cannot combine receipts from different events to make up $1,000.
